Meet the Artist

Rebecca Carter graduated from York College of Pennsylvania, earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree with a major in Fine Art. She has earned minors in Art History, Photography, Visual Communication, and Speech Communication. Her membership in the honor societies of Phi Theta Kappa and Delta Alpha Pi afforded her an opportunity to receive competitive awards such as the All-Maryland Academic Scholarship, as well as the Coca Cola Gold Scholar. In addition to this, she was inducted into the Alpha Chi National Honor Society. In 2019 three of her mixed media pieces were selected into the distinguished Emerging Visions: Undergraduate Juried Show in 2019 at Creative York, York, PA. This series was awarded Best in Show in that exhibition. Rebecca had her work selected to hang as a banner design in the WeCo District of downtown York, PA and was awarded second in the Collaboration: Fine Art Senior Exhibition at York College Galleries. In more recent years she was awarded Best in Show in Plein Air at the Ball Park in York, PA and had two Solo Show one at the Grotto, York PA and the other at American Ice Co. Cafe in Westminster, MD. Her most recent endeavor was taking a residency in Barcelona, Spain, where she was asked to photograph a Vans Off the Walls Sponsored Event.
